Huma bags spot in ''New Wave Actors List'' in Los Angeles

Oct 12 (IANS) Actress Huma Quershi, who is currently shooting for an international project titled, "The Army of the Dead", has earned a name in the ''New Wave Actors List in Los Angeles. 

Film Independent recently launched a list of actors that honors them for their remarkable performances on various platforms. The actress earned a place on the list of "New Wave Actors List" due to her brilliant and impressive performance in the series "Leila". The six episode series premiered on Netflix on June 14, 2019. It is an adaptation of a novel of the same name written by Prayaag Akbar. It has all the elements of the perfect dystopian drama and, despite mixed reviews, the series can keep you wanting to know more.

Upon receiving this honor, Huma expressed that Leila will always be special to her. She said,
